Work at Bekwai municipal hospital is progressing steadly. The building of this hospital was started by former president Kuffour: feasibility studies was done, an amount of $20m loan facility was sourced to fund the building of the hospital, before NPP lost power in 2008. Late president Mill cut sod to commence the construction of the hospital is 2010. The hospital was abandoned when Mills died and JDM took over. No amount of calls by the MP, the chiefs and people would push JDM to continue. However president Akuffo Addo has paid heed to the cry of the MP Rt. Ho.
