*THE DELIBERATE ATTEMPT BY GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE TO DENY TEACHERS POINTS IN BUILDING PORTFOLIO SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE GHANAIAN TEACHERS*

A letter written today dated 8th February, 2022 with reference number GES/HQ/SDTU/11/22 signed by Mr Anthony Boateng, Deputy Director-General(MS) to all Regional Directors in paragraph one is saying that GES in collaboration with K.A Technologies and Microsoft are to organize an *Online training* for teachers on how to use the laptops and the various materials installed on them.

How many of the basic school teachers have the laptops since this is going to be purely practical work and not theory?

Again, paragraph 4 states that ” Teachers will receive points for their Continues Professional Development and a certificate for participation upon successful completion and assessment”.

I put it to the Director General of Ghana Education Service humbly that, this is a deliberate and malicious attempt to deny the aggrieved classroom teacher in the basic school whose money was forcefully deducted by his/her employer without his/her approval as stipulated in the labour Act who cannot surfe the internet and lives in a village where there is no network the points in building his/her portfolio knowing very well the essence of this point building in the life of a Ghanaian teacher.

I humbly call on the Director General to as a matter of Urgency restructure this particular workshop to suit all teachers in the country after every single teacher in the Ghana Education Service is given his or her laptops since leadership have refused refunding our monies to us.

Thank you
