SEKYERE AFRAM PLAINS DISTRICT WILL TAKE LEAD IN AGRIC PRODUCTION IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS- Odenkyem predicted.The district chief executive for Sekyere Afram Plains district, Hon Joseph Owusu a.k.a Odenkyem, has predicted that, the district will take lead in agriculture production in the next five years to come base on the measures putting up by the assembly to give the farmers a facelift through agric mechanization programme.According to him, this program is gear towards the provisions of Agric mechanization Machineries like tractors,motor spraying machines and equipments for ID,IF, project for the indigenous farmers in the district to help reduce their burden of hiring machines from far distance on their daily farming activities.Which he said, as part of this commitment the district assembly in collaboration with the government are teaming up to construct some deplorable roads networks within the district to support the farmers in bringing their farming products into the market.Hon Joseph Owusu was speaking during the launching of Agric mechanization programme and presentation of Agric Machineries like tractors and motor spraying machines for the farmers of Sekyere Afram Plains district at Drobonso.The chief of Drobonso, Nana Dwamena Dankwah Dwubinsiaw II, expressed gratitude to the government and the DCE for the support giving to the farmers which he described as the best support so ever given to his people.After the launching, some of the farmers said the programme has come to them in the right time which will support their farming activities and gave thanks to government.By Joe Amoateng,Drobonso
