Innovative Teachers In Collaboration With All Teachers Alliance Ghana Takes GES, MoE And Others To Accra High Court Over One Teacher 1 Laptop Project.

According to the two teacher unions which are The National Executives of INNOVATIVE TEACHERS and All Teachers Alliance Ghana (ATAG) would like to bring to the attention of the press and teachers that a suit has been filed at the Accra High Court.

From the two unions the suit is questioning the legal capacity of K.A TECHNOLOGIES

GHANA LIMITED and the contract that was given to same by the Defendants herein to manufacture laptops under the ‘one teacher one laptop’ initiative.

INNOVATIVE TEACHERS and All Teachers Alliance Ghana are the first and second plaintiffs respectively.

The Defendants in the suit are as follows:

1. K.A TECHNOLOGIES GHANA LIMITED

2. The Attorney General

3. Ghana Education Service

4. Ministry of Education

It is instructive to note that INNOVATIVE TEACHERS was registered as a TRADE UNION by the Chief Labour Officer in accordance with the Labour Law 2003(Act 651) on 30th July, 2012.
