NATIONAL TEACHING COUNCIL (NTC) EDMAT CREDIT POINT BASED TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS IN BASIC SCHOOLS ON EFFECTIVE TEACHING AND

LEARNING STRATEGIES

With reference to the above subject, we wish to collaborate with your good offices in implementing the sad programme in the various Districts, Municipalities, Metropolis in the Northern Region

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has approved and certified EDMAT Foundation as a recognized SERVICE PROVIDER to carry out CREDIT POINT BASED Continuous for

Professional Development (CPD) training (APPROVAL/ACCREDITATION CERTIFICATE ATTACHED).

Activities

Accordingly, we wish to submit the attached schedule and other details concerning the POINT BASED TRAINING in the Districts, Municipalities and Metropolis the Northern Region for onward communication to the Directorates concerned.

• Experiential Teaching and Learning; Effective Application with workable templates.

• Discovery and Constructivist Teaching and Learning: Effective Application with workable templates.

• Using Cognitive and the meta-cognitive approaches in teaching and learning; Analysis of individual intellectual capabilities and

teaching students how to learn.

• Qualities, Skills and Roles for effective teaching and learning.

4.0. CREDIT POINTS TO BE AWARDED:

The training program is point based. Attendance list will be forwarded to the National Teaching Council (NTC) for subsequent award of Credit Points to be factored against teacher licensure renewal.

5.0. TRAINING LOG SHEETS:

Participants are requested to bring along their training log sheets at the venue for endorsement. However, NTC Service Providers shall provide copies of the training log sheets so that those who do not have can fill same for endorsement.

6.0 REGISTRATION FEE: GHC65.00 (Sixty Five Ghana Cedis)

per participant and this will cover;

. Certificates with NTC QR Code

• Lunch

• Handouts

• Administrative Cost.

7.0 ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES:

Certificates shall be forwarded to the Northern Regional Education Office for onward distribution to the various Directorates and the target groups. Certificates can also be used for promotion application.

2.0 VENUES

• Venues shall be identified by the Ghana Education Directorates in the various catchment areas and communicated to the Service Provider.
