Today at PLC, we looked at types of test.
_The teacher made test and standardized test.
We also looked at test formats a teacher can adopt.
OBJECTIVES
_ Multiple choice ( Single best, Multiple response type).
_ True or False
_ Matching
_ Short answer type.
SUBJECTIVE
_Restricted essay
_Extended essay
We also looked briefly at general guidelines for test item construction.
_Keep table of specification.
_make sure items match with objectives.
_ use grammatical correct and unambiguous sentences.
_ Avoid excessive verbosity.
_. Assess what students must know.
_ Use simple and clear language.
_ Clearly define the task students are to perform and the answers required.
_ vary difficulty of the items.
_ Write scoring key as soon as you set questions.
_ Avoid textbook language – always copying questions verbatim from textbooks should be discouraged.
