NEW IN: Release Of Reopening Dates For Colleges Of Education Including Newly Admitted Trainees.

APPROVAL OF CALENDAR FOR THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR FOR PUBLIC COLLEGES OF EDUCATION

This is to acknowledge receipt of the proposed calendar for the 2021/2022 Academic Year you submitted for consideration and approval. A copy is attached for ease of reference.

I am happy to inform you that after careful consideration and consultation with the Hon. Minister for Education, approval has been given to the proposal as structured, based on a fourteen (14) week duration and subject to adjustment of the reopening dates.

It is recommended that Continuing students report on Saturday, November 6, 2021 and First Year students on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

This is to allow for re-sit examinations for continuing students and for new admissions to cover the current graduating cohort of Senior High School students.

Kindly take note of the changes above and adjust the calendar accordingly. You are further to take note that all Colleges are to ensure that fresh admissions do not exceed numbers that were admitted in the 2019/2020 Academic Year.
