(Audio Upper West): GES demands Money From Newly Recruited Teachers Over Biometric Registration
The Ghana Education Service (GES) Monday, March 22, 2021, commenced the newly recruited teachers’ biometric registration across the nation which is expected to end on April 2, 2021.
A source in the Upper West Region told the media (Manuelnewsgh.net) that the Upper East branch of the Ghana Education Service is demanding an amount from the newly recruited teachers before their biometric registration is done.
The newly recruited teachers are not happy with the situation and demanding an explanation from the authorities.
However, the registration was expected to start Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at GNAT Regional Office in Wa but the Upper East branch of the Ghana Education Service failed to show up.

All we want to know is that, are all the regionals doing or pay for the biometric registration, meanwhile as we speak these newly trained teachers have not been paid yet.
They have to travel this long way from their comfort zones to whatever they find themselves now therefore, why must these happen. They paid their rent themselves, feed themselves for about three months now and now payment of money before biometric registration.
All stake holders must come to the aid of these trained teachers now.
