*FREBOYE CHPS COMPOUND WORKING WITHOUT LIGHT AND WATER*

Freboye is a farming community in the Bosome Freho District and it has a CHPS compound which serve about 4 communities in the district.

The facility was commissioned in November 2018 and since then there is NO light nor water for the midwife to use even during delivery.

The midwife spoke in an interview with Asona Dehyie Kwateng’ how the situation is and she said their major problem is the electricity and water though the facility have been wired but no light.

She then said the light is their major problem because when a pregnant woman is in the stage of delivery they have to used phone touch light and even medication during such stage is a problem.

The only male who is working with the other four nurses including the midwife was very sad and this is how he narrated his story.

Nana Osei Kwame, the chief of Freboye was very sad because the assembly promised them of electricity and water at the facility during the commissioning.

“Nana then appealed to the DCE, MP, District Health Director, and the government in general to come to their aid especially the electricity and the water.
