Here Is when Trainees Are To Expect Their Allowance, Update On The Payment Of Teacher Trainees Allowance And Feeding Fee.

UPDATE ON THE PAYMENT OF TEACHER TRAINEES ALLOWANCES AND FEEDING FEE.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pursuant to the declaration of the Minister of Education, Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum, on the release of Ghe 67,942,652.00 to settle arrears of teacher trainees’ allowance and subsequently the looming issues of feeding fees, the National Secretariat of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana would want to by this intimation bring to the kind notice of all teacher trainees that processes are far advanced for payments to be made. On the other hand, funds meant for feeding have been duly disbursed to the principals.

Moreover, it was disclosed to the leadership in a close engagement with GTEC that the funds released are meant to cater for the 4 month arrears for the 2020/21 academic year whiles processes are facilitated for the payment of the rest of the months.

Consequently, the leadership of the association would like to commend the actors of and on behalf of the government for the expedient measures taken to pay arrears of the allowances and aid resolve issues surrounding the feeding of trainees.

To this end, we appreciate all our stakeholders for the continuous efforts and decisions taken in the interest of trainees. We also thank all media houses for the attention on this and many other issues.
